okie dokie

He's leaving it in there.
Apparently, this piece of wire has made itself at home and imbedded itself in my body. The doctor says surgery would be much too dangerous and not necessary because he feels this shouldn't pose a problem.
I had lots of questions, and I got my answers..mostly.
So, there you have it. It is a little unsettling knowing it's in there, but I'm so relieved that I won't be having surgery.
Thanks for all your care and concern...

O.M.G. I've heard about this, "better left alone" stuff. Weird. So glad you're ok and won't have to go under.
I'm glad you're okay too!

I think leaving it in is fine, if it's not going to bother you and hasn't to this point, it'll probably be fine. If that stuff changes, then you can revisit the surgery part but unnecessary surgery, even to fix stupid ass mistakes by health care professionals isn't worth the risk.
I hope you'll feel less unsettled soon. :)
I just saw a report on Today this morning where this woman had a double mastectomy because the lab said she had breast cancer. After she had it, they realized the lab specimen had been switched with someone else's.... It's absolutely frightening.....

Big hugs
Phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Love to you.
k.....
*whew*
I'm glad for the immediate surgery being seen as 'unnecessary' today.
That's got to be a relief.
If you're satisfied, that's a good thing.

Guess who I was thinking about whilst on my wine tour the past coupla days? I couldn't wait to get home to find out how you were doing.
I'm with you- having something in me that doesn't belong would make me nervous too. On the other hand- wow the risk of removing it. Two choices, neither very comforting if you ask my (not so humble) opinion.
Did he say whether this would be an issue for having magnetic imaging in the future?
Love you bunches...
My comment didn't post the other day. :(
I can understand why you'd want to leave it alone, especially considering the risks of the surgery, but wow!
Did you get a second opinion? I'm with the others on the butt-kicking and wondering how it's going to affect tests you might need down the track.
Thinking of you. x
